We are in the business of helping people reach their goals, whether it be to lose weight, gain muscle, or simply feel better and healthier. Whatever your goal may be, the key to success can be especially clear when you surround yourself with like-minded people who will motivate you towards the right approach. We’ve found if you follow these 5 tips, you’ll be sure to reach your goals successfully:

Set Realistic and Specific Goals

Setting realistic and specific goals is crucial. Everyone can set goals but not everyone can attain them. For example, instead of saying “I want to lose weight,” set a specific goal such as “I want to lose 10 pounds in the next 3 months.” By having a clear and defined goal, it will be easier to track your progress and stay motivated. Many small achievable goals turn into one large achievement.

Trust the Process

A purposeful workout plan is how you stay on track and see results. All of our workouts are created with the whole picture in mind. Each workout feeds off of the one from the day before, with intentional fitness cycles that change every few weeks to help you improve in multiple areas. Incorporate different modalities in your routine: strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and mobility. We have multiple programs on the schedule to choose from to keep you on a well-rounded fitness schedule.

Stay Accountable

No matter how motivated we might feel, we all need support. Staying accountable is a critical part of reaching your fitness goals. You can do this by working with your Immersion coaches, making a new gym friend in class, tracking your progress in SugarWod (our performance tracking app), or hiring one of our coaches for individual sessions. Finding the right gym and community for you will give you the accountability and support you need.

Make Healthy Food Choices

Eating a balanced and nutritious diet is just as important as exercise when it comes to reaching your fitness goals. Focus on consuming whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Limit processed and sugary foods, and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Simply ask a coach for their favorite nutrition tips, or take it one step further and book a consultation with one of our certified nutrition coaches to get an even more personalized approach.

Stay Consistent

Consistency is the key to success when it comes to fitness. Aim to exercise at least 3-4 times per week and make healthy food choices every day. Remember, progress takes time and patience, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Stay focused, and you will reach your goals.
