If you’ve been scrolling through fitness content lately, you’ve probably seen the word HYROX pop up more than once. Maybe a friend mentioned they’re “training for a HYROX race,” or you spotted it on our class schedule and thought, “what exactly is that?”
You’re not alone. HYROX is one of the fastest-growing fitness formats in the world right now, and it’s finally making serious waves here in South Florida. Here’s everything you need to know, and why Coral Springs athletes are showing up at Immersion Fitness to train for it.
So, What Is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race that combines running with eight functional workout stations. In an official HYROX event, athletes run 1km, complete a functional workout station, run another 1km, complete another station and repeat that eight times for a total of 8km of running and 8 workout stations.
